The tenth full-length album by death/grinders DEAD POINT (Sochi, Russia) titled ‘The Greatness of Emptiness’ was not long in coming, although its predecessor had been released just last year. Topical lyrics dedicated to global issues were traditionally set on rather extreme and intense music. Grindcore from the south of Russia is original in its own way: you can't fail to notice the influence of blues right off, however the band has its own approach and doesn’t slide into blatant sludge. Moreover, their music remains fast and brutal — the album consists of 25 tracks filled with proper drive, anger and expression. As usual, the album was recorded at Absurd Death studio — this means that the quality of the release meets all modern standards.
